SHERMAN OAKS (CNS) - A pedestrian was killed today by a hit-and-run motorist near the Sepulveda Pass in Sherman Oaks.
California Highway Patrol units responded at 4:16 a.m. to the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway and the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway interchange, where they found a pedestrian had been fatally struck, according to the CHP.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver drove away without stopping to render aid, according to CHP.
There was no immediate word on a suspect vehicle description.
