SHERMAN OAKS (CNS) - One person was killed today in a fatal hit and run crash near the Sepulveda Pass in Sherman Oaks.
California Highway Patrol units responded at 4:16 a.m. to the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway and the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway exchange where they found a pedestrian had been fatally struck, said a CHP spokesman.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver drove away without stopping to render aid, according to CHP.
The hit and run is under investigation.
