LA Police Dog Sniffs Out 104 Pounds Of Meth, Heroin

More than 100 pounds of methamphetamine and heroin have been removed from the streets of Los Angeles, thanks to an officer named Keisa.

  • Keisa, a K-9 officer with the LAPD, is being praised for helping the FBI track down the drugs, which tipped the scales at 104 pounds, according to Lillian Carranza, commanding officer of the department's Gang and Narcotics Division.
"Keisa removed 104 pounds of methamphetamine and heroin off our streets," Carranza tweeted, "saving lives, reducing overdoses, violence and property crime!"
  • Should dogs be used more often in police work?
