Astronaut Returns To Earth After Record 355-Day Spaceflight

NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei is finally back on Earth - after spending more time off-planet than any human in history.

  • Vande Hei landed safely in Kazakhstan on Wednesday morning after a record 355 consecutive days aboard the International Space Station.
  • That breaks the previous record of 340 days, set in 2016 by Scott Kelly.
  • So what does Vande Hei have planned next? He says he looks forward to being outside, making coffee, and eating chips and guacamole.
  • Do you think you could last 355 days in space?
