COMPTON (CNS) - A man was fatally shot today in Compton and sheriff's detectives were searching for the shooter.
The man was wounded around 5 a.m. at the intersection of East Pauline Street and South Cuzco Avenue, according to Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputy David Yoo.
The man was rushed to a hospital where he later died, Yoo said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A motive for the shooting was unknown.
No description of the attacker was available.
