The Washington Football Team officially has a new name: The Washington Commanders.
- The name, logo, and new uniforms were all unveiled Wednesday.
- Owner Dan Snyder wrote: "We continue to honor and represent the Burgundy & Gold while forging a pathway to a new era in Washington."
- The franchise has spent the last two seasons as the Washington Football Team, after ditching its previous name in July 2020.
