GLENDALE (CNS) - A man was in custody today for allegedly hitting a woman on the head and stealing her purse in Glendale.
Mario Gonzalez, 21, a transient, was arrested a short time after the crime, which occurred about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of S. Glendale Ave., police said.
Gonzalez was booked on suspicion of robbery, providing false identification to officers, and violating the terms of his probation, police said. He was being held without bail.
The victim was treated at a hospital for a head injury.
