Immerse Yourself in This ‘Old West’-style Town for Sale in Colorado

For anyone looking to live out their dreams of being a Hollywood cowboy, dueling against the likes of Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges, can now get one step closer by purchasing this town in Colorado.

It’s located on a 320-acre ranch and it’s less than four hours southwest of Denver, according to Colorado’s FOX 31 television station.

Originally purchased by two brothers in 2005 for $730,033, the property saw $10.8 million worth of development enabling its transition into a modern Old West town. However, in 2011, the duo brought the town to auction, having come to terms with the fact that they’d most likely lose money on the investment. “I guess that was their business model,” their real estate agent Adrienne Haydu told FOX 31.

The town consists of everything you’d ever want in the Old West, ranging from a saloon to a general store to even a chapel. Additionally, there’s a dance hall, two original cabins from the historic Hoaglund Stagecoach line, and a barn with 13 stalls.

It’s not entirely old-fashioned, however. Modern amenities can also be found on the property, including mini golf, RV hookups and a three-bed, three-bath lodge.

“The property is incredibly unique and one of a kind. It’s old town charm with all the conveniences of modern amenities. All the buildings are actual buildings and not just a fake façade. It’s a great horse property,” Haydu said.

One cool feature within the lodge is an indoor glass floor that sits atop an indoor stream that is fed by a waterfall that can be seen as you enter the living room.

The two brothers sold the property in 2011 for nearly $2 million, and it has changed hands twice since then. The most recent acquisition was in 2018 with the current seller having purchased it for $3.6 million.

It’s currently listed for $4.7 million.
