Megan Fox’s Ring from MGK Has Thorns and Hurts to Take Off

The engagement ring from Machine Gun Kelly that Megan Fox wears has two beautiful stones and some thorns to go along with them. The thorns work like metal spikes on a driveway, making the ring painful to remove.

Colson Baker, more commonly known as Machine Gun Kelly, made the announcement of his new fiancée last week, and is now explaining more about the unusual design of the ring placed on his bride-to-be’s finger.

Baker’s Instagram post shared a photo of the ring and explained that it was designed with Stephen Webster to feature an emerald (Fox’s birthstone) and a diamond (his birthstone), “set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love.”

In an interview with Vogue Magazine published on Monday, Baker provided some more detail on the ring’s bands. “The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet,” he explained. “So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts…Love is pain!”

The couple “[controlled] the narrative” of their engagement announcement. Baker told Vogue that “opposed to someone just catching a weird cell phone picture of a ring on our hand and being like, ‘Whoa!’”… he “just recorded it on [his] cellphone. “And it wasn’t like we had photographers or anything. It was just like me setting my phone against a cup.” Fox shared the video on January 12th.

“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him,” Fox wrote, in part. “And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes…and then we drank each other’s blood.”

The two were sporting matching chrome-painted nails, painted by artist Brittney Boyce who shared a behind-the-scenes post on Instagram.

Fox and Baker met on the set of their crime thriller “Midnight in the Switchgrass’ in March of 2020. “The second that I was in a room with him and said help to him and looked into his eyes, I knew, because I’m into (astrology), I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame,” said Fox on the “Give Them Lala…With Randall” podcast in July of 2020.

“…We’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. I said that to him almost immediately. Because I felt it right away.”
