LONG BEACH (CNS) - Long Beach police today asked the public for help in locating a suspect in the hit-and-run death of a man in his 20s.
The crash was reported at 10:17 p.m. Friday in the area of Atherton Street and Montair Avenue, according to an LBPD news release.
The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died from his injuries Monday, police said.
He was crossing northbound on Atherton Street, outside the crosswalk, when a westbound silver sedan struck him and fled before officers arrived, police said.
The victim's name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
