Coroner Identifies Victim in Mission Hills Collision

MISSION HILLS (CNS) - A 75-year-old man who died in a two-car collision in Mission Hills was identified by county authorities today.

The crash was reported about 5:15 p.m. Nov. 22 in the area of 13470 Sepulveda Blvd., near Rinaldi Street and the Eden Memorial Park cemetery, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's office identified Christopher Boutelle, 75, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Boutelle died of blunt force trauma injuries and his death was classified as a homicide, according to the coroner.

Another person who was injured in the collision was freed from one of the vehicles and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Boutelle's city of residence was not available.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
