The Great Resignation is showing no signs of slowing down as a record number of U.S. workers have quit their jobs... for the second month in a row!
More than 4.4 million U.S. workers quit their jobs in September, according to a report that was just released by the Labor Department. (For reference, that number represents 3 percent of the entire U.S. workforce!!!)

So far, at least 34.4 million people have bailed on their jobs this year, with 24 million of those resignations occurring since April, the Labor Department reports. Julia Pollak, ZipRecruiter's chief economist, says most of the resignations have occurred in industries that don't allow working from home, such as hospitality, retail, manufacturing and health services.
"Employers are basically having to replace their entire staff in just a couple of months," Pollak says. "It’s really quite dramatic."
