A few days ago, the LA City Council implemented a new law requiring proof of vaccination to enter most indoor places across Los Angeles. On Friday, the LA City Council is set to vote on certain modifications to its newest law.
Though enforcement of this law does not take effect until November 29th - the LACC is set to consider changing the law to only require proof of vaccination to those 12 years and older, instead of all eligible for the vaccine which included people over the age of 5.
This vote would also allow the Department of Building and Safety to issue citations to businesses that are not complying with the mandate.
There is also funding that is being proposed, $400,000 for outreach and inspections, $184,207 for salaries, marketing materials, and education, and $500,000 for the LA County's VaxUp LA program.
Only time will tell as to what happens.
