A Sierra Madre resident, John Holden, was in for a surprise when he got home a few days ago... A bear sitting on his kitchen counter eating his KFC!
John Holden arrived at home and to his surprise noticed that his front door was wide open. He probably thought that an intruder had broken into his house and stolen some of the things in his home. He walks inside his house to inspect what was going on and arrives to his kitchen. To his surprise, he sees a bear sitting on his kitchen counter eating his Kentucky Fried Chicken!
That was not the only bear that he saw at this home - there was another bear that made its way inside the home, while another greeted Holden outside the home.
Holden said that he has had many encounters with bears, but this was the first time bears have made their way inside his home. He told ABC7:
"I've had a lot of other encounters with them. I've actually had them bump into me a couple times in the backyard, but definitely never in the house like that. That was something else and they sure made a mess of the place,"
The smell of fresh Kentucky Fried Chicken must have been very enticing to the bears... Do you blame them?
