LA County Gas Price Moves Closer To Year's High

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose four-tenths of a cent today to $4.403 one day after increasing two-tenths of a cent.

The average price is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 1.7 cents higher than one month ago and $1.195 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is four-tenths of a cent less than the 2021 high of $4.407 set Aug. 31. It has risen $1.171 since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $4.356 one day after dropping a half-cent. It is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but six-tenths of a cent more than one month ago and $1.18 higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price is 1.5 cents less than the 2021 high of $4.371 set Aug. 27. It has risen $1.148 since the start of the year.
