COMPTON (CNS) - A 69-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Compton and his 59-year-old sister was arrested for suspicion of his murder, authorities said today.
The fatal stabbing was reported at 12:19 a.m. Friday in the 14000 block of South Harris Avenue, according to Deputy Alejandra Parra of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
Arriving deputies found the man unresponsive inside the home with apparent stab wounds, Parra said.
Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:35 a.m., she said.
The victim's sister was arrested Friday morning and booked into the Century Regional Detention Center, Parra said. A possible motive was not immediately known.
The names of the victim and suspect were not released.
