United States Vice President, Kamala Harris, was in California this afternoon campaigning for California Governor, Gavin Newsom, less than a week before his recall election.

In one of his final stops before Tuesday's recall election, Gov. Newsom is trying to secure more votes to keep him in office.

Governor Newsom tagged along with the Vice President to appeal to Democratic voters to vote "no", on the upcoming recall. In VP Harris' speech, she denounced the efforts of GOP legislatures while discussing voting and abortion rights.

"what's happening in Texas, what's happening in Georgia, what's happening around our country with these policies that are attacking women's rights, reproductive rights and voting rights, workers' rights. They think if they can win in California, they can do this anywhere."

The Vice President would repeatedly discuss and emphasize the importance of the election that's taking place in less than a week. She would mention the national consequences that could follow if current CA Governor Newsom is replaced by a Republican.

"You have to understand that this recall campaign is about California, and it's about a whole lot more,"

With the help of Harris, Newsom and his team are trying their best to appeal to Democratic women encouraging them to submit their ballots to maintain the advantage Newsom has had in recent polls. While on stage, Wednesday, Newsom would discuss current #1 contender to take his place if he loses, Larry Elder. Newsom would discuss past derogatory comments made by Elder, as well as Elder's denial their is not a glass ceiling for women.

"He doesn't believe there's a glass ceiling -- tell that to Kamala Harris, who did shatter the glass ceiling for vice president,"

Newsom would drive in the message that this upcoming recall election is a "life or death" situation.

The recall election of Governor Gavin Newsom takes place next Tuesday, September 14th.
