LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today, the fifth time in six days it has changed by one-tenth of a cent or been unchanged.
The average price of $4.407 is unchanged from one week ago, 2.6 cents higher than one month ago and $1.177 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen $1.173 since the start of the year.
The average price rose two-tenths of a cent Monday, was unchanged Sunday, rose one-tenth of a cent on Friday and Saturday and dropped one-tenth of a cent Thursday.
The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $4.365, one day after dropping four-tenths of a cent. It is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 1.3 cents more than one month ago and $1.16 higher than one year ago. It has risen $1.154 since the start of the year.
