‘Manifest' Again Tops Streaming Viewership

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - “Manifest'' topped the list of the most-watched streamed programs for the second consecutive week, with viewers watching 2.064 billion minutes of the 29 episodes of the first two seasons of the canceled NBC supernatural drama, according to figures released today by Nielsen.

Viewership for June 21-27 was 17.2% less than the 2.493 billion minutes watched June 14-20, the first full week “Manifest'' was streaming on Netflix.

“Luca'' was second for the second consecutive week, with viewers watching 1.714 billion minutes during the first full week the computer-animated coming-of-age fantasy film streamed on Disney+. Viewership was up 9% from the 1.573 billion minutes watched during its first three days of release the previous week.

“Luca'' was among two Disney+ programs in the Top 10. The other was the Marvel Cinematic Universe series “Loki,'' fifth for the week with 713 million minutes watched of its three episodes. All the other programs in the Top 10 stream on Netflix. Nielsen also announces streaming viewership of Amazon Prime Video and Hulu programming.

There were two programs in the latest Top 10 that were not in the previous week's.

The action thriller film “The Ice Road'' was fourth for the week, with 714 million minutes watched in the first three days it was streaming on Netflix. “Criminal Minds'' returned to the Top 10 after a one-week absence, finishing 10th with 549 million minutes watched of its 311 episodes.

“Criminal Minds'' had been in all the previous Top 10s before last week. Nielsen began publicly disclosing streaming viewership figures Sept. 3, with the first report covering the week of Aug. 3-9.

Dropping out of the Top 10 were the eight-episode Netflix fantasy drama “Sweet Tooth'' and the animated fantasy action-adventure film “Raya and the Last Dragon'' which streams on Disney+.

The top 10 consisted of four programs that originally aired on U.S. or British broadcast networks, two original streaming series, three movies and “CoComelon,'' which originated on YouTube.

The Top 10 programs were “Manifest''; “Luca'';  ”Fatherhood''; “The Ice Road''; “Loki''; “CoComelon''; “Grey's Anatomy''; “Lucifer''; “Downton Abbey''; and “Criminal Minds.''

The figures only reflect television set-related viewing, including such television-connected devices as Roku and Apple TV. Mobile-only viewing is not included in Nielsen's streaming measurement systems.
