TUSTIN (CNS) - A 55-year-old Tustin man was arrested today on suspicion of an attack on a police officer and leading police on a chase.

Officers had attempted to talk to Charles Bradley behind the Marshalls store at 17261 17th St. because he had collision damage to his vehicle just after 9 a.m., said Lt. Stephanie Nichols of the Tustin Police Department.

Bradley “raised a flare to the officer'' and then fled in the vehicle, leading police on a short pursuit which ended at Yorba Street just north of Santa Clara Avenue, when he stopped and remained behind the steering wheel, Nichols said.

Bradley barricaded himself in his vehicle for hours until police had to remove him and place him under arrest, Nichols said.

Bradley was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon upon a police officer, resisting or obstructing an officer and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, according to Nichols.
