LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Fire caused damage to a Hyde Park home this morning before being extinguished by firefighters.
Crews responded at 12:52 a.m. to the 5100 block of South Victoria Avenue, north of 52nd Street, and found the one-story home fully involved in fire, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters found five occupants of the home safely outside, she said.
A total of 34 firefighters extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes and kept it from spreading into the attic. A knock down was called at 1:13 a.m., Stewart said.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
