Lady Gaga's Wounded Dog Walker Finally Home; Part of Lung Removed

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Lady Gaga's dog walker, who was shot by assailants as they stole two of the singer's French bulldogs, was recovering at home this morning after having part of his lung removed.

Ryan Fischer was wounded Feb. 24 while walking three of the singer's dogs in the 1500 block of North Sierra Bonita Avenue, near Sunset Boulevard. No suspects have been named.

Fischer said in a lengthy Instagram post he had been recovering well when his lung collapsed and he had to have surgery.

“With the chest tube removed (which I can only equate to an alien baby extraction) and my blood oxygen stable, the journey outside to recover with loved ones began."

He went on to say he began to experience “strange hissing and glugging (sounds) coming from my chest every time I took a breath.

“It became quite clear that my lung was not healing and the bullet wound had scarred my tissue like a burn."

Details of when the surgery took place were not disclosed.

Fisher was at recovering at home, the Daily Mail reported.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman who said she found the dogs contacted the pop star's staff and later met with the department's Robbery-Homicide detectives at the department's Olympic Station, where she returned the pair.

The department said it would keep confidential the location where the dogs were found and the woman's name, “due to the active criminal investigation and for her safety.''

Lady Gaga, who is in Italy filming a movie, had offered a $500,000 reward for their safe return and praised her Fischer, saying he risked his life “to fight for our family. You're forever a hero.''

It was not clear if the woman who turned the dogs over to police was given the reward money.

Police described the two suspects as men about 20 to 25 years old, one with blond dreadlocks and wearing a black hoodie and carrying a semi-automatic handgun. The other was clad in dark clothing. They fled the scene in a four-door Nissan Altima, according to the LAPD.
