CLAREMONT (CNS) - A man in his 60s was found shot to death near a rural road in the unincorporated Mount Baldy area north of Claremont, authorities said this morning.
The man was found about 1:45 p.m Thursday at Mile Marker 3.09 Mount Baldy Road in a culvert about 60 yards off the road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The victim had sustained a gunshot to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene. His vehicle was recovered nearby, the department said.
The name of the victim and a motive for the shooting were not disclosed.
