An autistic boy who had never spoken a complete sentence did so thanks to a fish.
7 year-old Mikey Delgado had previously only been able to utter one of two words at a time. But then the family brought home a pretty darn large goldfish and named it Finnagan.
Mikey became enraptured watching Finnagan swim around and the family would be sure to let him help feed the fish.
Fast forward to last Saturday, when Mikey suddenly said “Finnagan wants food now.” The family was floored, and then was crying. Finnagan didn’t seem to know what was happening, and Mikey now announces every day around 5pm that “Finnagan wants food now.”
