Picture this...an American woman is vacationing in Bali and comes across a tiny octopus in the ocean.
She thinks it's cute, so she picks it up and plays with the blue-spotted creature for about 20 minutes and captures the whole thing on video.
A cute story right?
Well it turns out the octopus that Kaylin Phillips was playing with was a blue-ringed octopus, which defends itself by injecting a deadly venom that causes respiratory arrest in mere minutes.
Philips says she had no idea how close she was to actual death and says she actually held TWO of them, trying to feed them oranges.
