AMC, the nation's largest movie theater chain, is officially back in business!
As of this weekend, 98% of AMC theaters will reopen a year after closing all of its locations during the pandemic.
In California, 52 of its 54 locations will reopen by Monday and the rest will reopen once local approvals are given.
AMC spokesman Ryan Noonan says the company will bring back employees who were let go prior to being shut down, as well as bringing in new workers.
All of them are being trained on proper cleaning and safety protocols including automatic seat blocking, mandatory mask wearing, adding hand sanitizing stations and utilizing contactless ticketing and mobile ordering for food and drinks.
