LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 13-year-old boy was shot in the leg today in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles and police were searching for the shooter.
The shooting on 46th Street near McKinley Avenue was reported around 4:30 p.m., according to Los Angeles police Officer D. Orris. The boy was transported to a hospital for treatment, he added.
No other victims were reported.
A motive for the shooting was not yet known, Orris said.
Gang officers were involved in the investigation, Orris said, suggesting an appearance of a gang-related shooting.
Police don't have a description of the shooter yet, he said.
