Amanda Gorman, the 22-year-old 'youth poet laureate' who took the world by storm at Joe Biden's inauguration, is heading to the Super Bowl!
Gorman will recite a new poem as part of the Super Bowl LV pregame ceremonies. It will recognize three people selected by the NFL as honorary game captains: Los Angeles teacher Trimaine Davis, Tampa nurse Suzie Dorner, and Marine veteran James Martin.
"Los Angeles teacher Trimaine Davis, who worked to secure Internet access and laptops for his students so that they would be able to access remote learning during the pandemic; Tampa nurse Suzie Dorner, who has been managing the COVID ICU at Tampa General Hospital; and Marine veteran James Martin, who has helped veterans and their families connect virtually through his work with the Wounded Warrior Project," the NFL announced on Wednesday.

Gorman recently drew widespread praise for her reading of the original poem "The Hill We Climb" at the inauguration, and is the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate.
Gorman will read her newest poem on Feburary 7th, right before the kickoff between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
