LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay said he will ”take it a day at a time'' with injured quarterbacks John Wolford and Jared Goff in preparations for Saturday's divisional round playoff game at Green Bay.
Wolford suffered what McVay described as a “stinger'' when he was tackled on a running play on the Rams' second possession in their 30-20 upset of Seattle Saturday in a wild-card round game and did not return to the game.
“He'll be day-to-day,'' McVay said in a video conference with reporters Sunday. “We'll monitor him and see what his status is for this week.''
Goff replaced Wolford, completing nine of 19 passes for 155 yards and one touchdown in his first game since undergoing surgery Dec. 28 to repair a fracture in his right thumb suffered in a 20-9 loss at Seattle a day earlier.
McVay said the injury affected Goff Saturday -- “There were some things that he typically is able to execute that it seemed like they were a factor,'' -- but “I don't think he has any setbacks.''
Perennial all-pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald suffered what McVay only described as a rib injury Saturday.
“(I) don't expect that to affect his game status for this week,'' McVay said.
Cooper Kupp, the Rams' leading receiver has “bursitis of his knee,'' McVay said.
“We're going to just monitor that day-to-day for him and hopefully get that swelling and inflammation down, with the anticipation and the hope to have him ready to go,'' McVay said.
