LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today to its highest amount since March 24, increasing a half-cent to $3.232.
The average price has risen 15 of the past 16 days, increasing 8.5 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 4.1 cents more than one week ago and 7.7 cents higher than a month ago but 38.3 cents less than one year ago.
The average price for the year is $3.20, the lowest since 2017 when it was $3.04.
The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.208, one day after an eight-day streak of increases totaling 4.4 cents ended when it was unchanged. It is at its highest amount since March 23.
The Orange County average price is 2.9 cents more than one week ago and 7.7 cents higher than a month ago but 33.7 cents less than one year ago.
The average price for the year is $3.17, the lowest since 2017 when it was $3.02.
