New Data From The Census Bureau Shows People Leaving California In Droves

Texas saw the highest number of new residents in 2020, leading the pack with a 373,965 gain, Census data reveals. Florida and Arizona came in a close second and third.

California has gone the complete opposite direction, losing an estimated 69,532 residents in the past year, according to the Census Bureau! It marks the first time in recorded history that the state's population has seen a significant drop, according to population expert Wendell Cox.

The Census Bureau estimates that in total, the U.S. population grew by .35% from July 2019 to July 2020 -- which is an increase of about 1.1 million people.
