POMON (CNS) - One person suffered a minor injury in a fire at a Pomona store, authorities said today.
The fire was reported at 7:44 p.m. Thursday at 546 W. Holt Ave, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Miguel Ornelas.
He described the business as a party supply store with rear storage and explained a second-alarm was called due to the amount of paper products inside.
In all, about 25 pieces of equipment responded and the flames were out at 8:37 p.m., Ornelas said.
A news videographer at the scene said the injured person lived in the rear of the building and was taken by paramedics to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
