Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises For Sixth Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the sixth consecutive day, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.182, its highest amount since Oct 22.

The average price has increased 3.5 cents over the past six days, including a half-cent on Sunday and 1.4 cents on Saturday, its largest daily increase since July 24, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.7 cents more than one week ago and 3.9 cents higher than a month ago but 46.7 cents less than one year ago.

A four-day streak of increases to the Orange County average price ended when it was unchanged, remaining at $3.162. It increased 3 cents during the streak, including six-tenths of a cent on Sunday and 1.8 cents on Saturday, its largest daily increase since Nov. 1, 2019.

The Orange County average price is 2.9 cents more than one week ago and 4.9 cents higher than a month ago but 40.4 cents less than one year ago.
