Tom Cruise Erupts on Set of New Movie Over COVID Rules Violations

A recent explosion on the set of the upcoming “Mission: Impossible” film didn’t involve pyrotechnics, but rather a screaming rant by the movie’s megastar.

Tom Cruise had some choice words for production crew members not abiding by COVID-19 safety protocols on the set of the action adventure movie.

The Hollywood superstar, who’s set to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in the 7th installment of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise, lashed out at workers he spotted standing within six feet of each other. In leaked audio, Cruise is heard screaming “If I see you doing it again, you’re f---ing gone.” and “We are not shutting this f---ing movie down. Is it understood?”

The movie, scheduled for release in November, 2021, is currently being shot in Europe. Over the summer, 12 people on set in Italy reportedly tested positive for the virus. As a result, hundreds of extras were told not to show up to shoot scenes in Venice.

One source says the “Top Gun” star is working closely with health officials to personally enforce the social-distance safety measures adding “He does daily rounds to make sure that everything is set up appropriately, that people are behaving and working as safely as they can.”
