COMPTON (CNS) - A pedestrian was struck and killed by a motorist in East Compton, the California Highway Patrol said today.
The crash involving the pedestrian and a white Nissan Altima occurred a little before 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the area of East Rosecrans and South Atlantic avenues, the CHP reported.
Paramedics dispatched to the location at 10:40 p.m. did not transport anyone to an area hospital, according to a county fire department dispatcher.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was cleared at 12:39 a.m., the CHP said.
There was no other information available.
