LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $3.157 after being unchanged three of the previous four days.
The price is a half-cent more than one week ago and one-tenth of a cent higher than one month ago but 53.7 cents less than a year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 45.8 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $3.133 after rising one-tenth of a cent each of the previous two days. It is six- tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 1.1 cents higher than one month ago but 48 cents less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped 41.2 cents since the start of the year.
