This week, Elliot Page, the Oscar-nominated star best known from "Juno," "X-Men" and "The Umbrella Academy," announced he is transgender.
“Hi friends,” Page wrote. “I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot.”
Page shared the news via social media on Tuesday, announcing that they are transgender and identifies as a non-binary person, (someone whose gender identity is neither man nor woman).
"I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life," Page shared.
Fun fact -- Elliot and Dr. Wendy share the same hometown -- Halifax, Nova Scotia!
