Police Release Footage On Man Robbing Laundry Mat Employee

SANTA ANA (CNS) - The Santa Ana Police Department released surveillance footage today of a man robbing an employee of a Santa Ana laundromat by pinning her to the ground and cutting off a fanny pack wrapped around her waist.

The suspect first entered the business in the 1200 block of East McFadden Avenue at about 8:30 a.m. Friday and watched other patrons play video games, police said.

As the employee walked past the suspect, he approached her from behind, pulled out a knife, pushed her to the ground and pinned her down, as he cut her fanny pack from around her waist.

He then fled the location northbound through the parking lot.

The suspect was described as a Latino man in his mid-to-late 20s, wearing a dark blue hoodie with the letters “HCI'' on the left chest and dark blue pants.

Santa Ana police detectives urged anyone with information regarding the robbery to call them at 714-245-8323.
