BURBANK (CNS) - Police pursued a stolen box truck today in a chase that began in Downtown L.A and followed a circuitous route until the truck's driver was arrested by Burbank officers, police said.
Los Angeles Police Department officers began following the vehicle at 5:17 a.m., said N. Eisenman of the LAPD's Media Relations division.
The driver briefly went on the Hollywood (101) Freeway, but not long enough for California Highway Patrol officers to take over the pursuit, ABC790 reported. The suspect maneuvered erratically through Los Feliz, back into Downtown and past the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, up the Golden State (5) Freeway through Frogtown -- and ultimately into Burbank, where the suspect bailed out of the vehicle.
After a brief foot pursuit, Burbank police took the suspect into custody at 6:18 a.m., Eisenman said.
