The Texas Rangers may have been eliminated, but they can still go to the playoffs and the World Series -- providing they buy their own tickets... Because Major League Baseball officials revealed that fans will be allowed to attend the National League Championship Series and the World Series! Both of which are going to be held at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
The MLB announced on Wednesday it received “the appropriate approvals to host fans in the ballpark and will implement fan health and safety protocols in conjunction with state and local regulations.”
Every MLB game this regular season, as well as the first round of playoffs, have been held without fans.
(Thanks, COVID...)
Up to 11,500 tickets will be sold for each game in both series, per MLB, which means fans will populate only 28.5 percent of the stadium. Tickets for the NLCS are priced $40-250, and tickets for the World Series are $75-450.
And yes, you guessed it... All fans attending will be required to wear masks (except when eating and drinking), and practice social distancing.
The league says tickets for both series at Globe Life Field will go on sale Oct. 6 at 10 a.m.
