LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped six-tenths of a cent today to $3.208 after changing by two-tenths of a cent or less for 10 of the previous 11 days.
The average price is 1 cent less than one week ago and 59.4 cents lower than one year ago but one-tenth of a cent more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has decreased 40.7 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price dropped six-tenths of a cent for the second consecutive day to $3.176 after changing by one-tenth of a cent or being unchanged for six consecutive days.
The Orange County average price is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, 1.8 cents lower than one month ago and 57.8 cents below what it was one year ago. It has decreased 36.9 cents since the start of the year.
