LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $3.216, after changing by two-tenths of a cent or less for nine consecutive days.
The average price is a half-cent less than one week ago and 57.9 cents lower than one year ago but seven-tenths of a cent more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has decreased 39.9 cents since the start of the year. It rose two-tenths of a cent on Monday.
The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.188, the sixth consecutive day it has changed by one-tenth of a cent or been unchanged. It is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, eight-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 56.4 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has decreased 35.7 cents since the start of the year. It dropped one-tenth of a cent on Monday.
