Yale University has come under fire for reportedly discriminating against white and Asian American students. The accusation was made Thursday by the Department of Justice, which is threatening to sue the Ivy League school if its admissions policy doesn't change.

"Yale’s race discrimination imposes undue and unlawful penalties on racially-disfavored applicants, including in particular Asian American and white applicants," says Eric Dreiband, assistant attorney general for civil rights.
Dreiband also notes the DOJ has been investigating the school for the past two years...
But despite the lengthy investigation, Yale said it “categorically denies this allegation.” Administrators at the school claim the DOJ has come to an erroneous conclusion because it didn't gather all the facts.
A statement released Thursday reads, "Had the department fully received and fairly weighed this information, it would have concluded that Yale’s practices absolutely comply with decades of Supreme Court precedent."
