Scientists say that after a few successful preliminary tests, a vaccine that to ward off the coronavirus is ready for its final testing phase.
The announcement was made after receiving positive results from the vaccine's first round of testing, which involved 45 subjects.
Everyone injected developed neutralizing antibodies in their bloodstreams that fight off the coronavirus.
The experimental vaccine was developed by the National Institutes of Health and Moderna Inc. and in the final phase of testing, researchers are bringing in 30,000 volunteers to double-check the effectiveness of the vaccine.
That roundwill happen later this month.
