An official with the World Health Organization made a bleak prediction about the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Michael Ryan said during a press briefing that the coronavirus is likely to never go away.
This was said during a panel where WHO officials discussed new coronavirus clusters that have recently surfaced around the world.
Ryan said:
"I think it's important to put this on the table...This virus may become just another endemic virus in our communities."
While a lot of people might feel panicked over Ryan's comment, he went on to point out that other diseases like HIV and the flu have never disappeared, but can be managed.
