A woman from Kentucky who has lived through two world wars and two global pandemics is celebrating her 109th birthday in socially distant style.
This week Ruth Harrington got a parade of almost 40 cars driving by her retirement home.
The caravan contained several fire trucks, mayors of three nearby towns and five generations of her family.
Ruth’s family includes eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren, most of whom live in Western Kentucky.
