High School Teacher in Palmdale Accused of Sexual Relationship With Student

PALMDALE (CNS) - A teacher at Pete Knight High School in Palmdale was arrested today for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student.

Anthony Faaborg, 53, was taken into custody at his home in Palmdale and booked on suspicion of crimes that include lewd acts with a child, unlawful oral copulation and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Faaborg was being held on $975,000 bail, the sheriff's department reported.

The investigation was conducted by detectives from the sheriff's Special Victims Bureau, who presented their case on Jan. 30 to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, resulting in the filing of 17 criminal counts against Faaborg, the sheriff's department reported.
