Yesterday, President Donald Trump used part of his State of the Union Address to reveal his intention to give radio host Rush Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom. But what most didn't know, was that Trump also had intentions to bypass the traditional ceremony, and have Limbaugh awarded the honor on the spot!

"Here tonight is a special man, someone beloved by millions of Americans who just received a Stage 4 advanced cancer diagnosis," Trump said of Limbaugh, who revealed Monday he's suffering from advanced lung cancer. "This is not good news, but what is good news is that he is the greatest fighter and winner that you will ever meet."
Trump then directed First Lady Melania Trump, who was seated next to Limbaugh, to present the clearly emotional host with the award.
"In recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and that you inspire and all of the incredible work that do for charity, I’m proud to announce tonight that you will receive our nation’s highest civilian honor," Trump said.
