An adorable video has actually shown a big scientific leap for animals.
Experts studied two Atlantic puffins that used a stick to scratch themselves...the first time wild seabirds were shown to use tools.
Author of the study in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Annette Fayet, says that this shows wild birds are capable of using tools and have reason to use them.
This apparently shows these birds have higher cognitive abilities and because this was seen in birds more than a 1,000 miles apart the behavior isn’t restricted to a single population.
