L.A. County Gas Prices Drop For 50th Straight Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 50th consecutive day, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.634, its lowest amount since Aug. 31.

The average price has dropped 49.5 cents during the streak, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.1 cents less than one week ago and 26.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 20.6 cents more than one year ago.

The streak of decreases is the longest since a 53-day streak from Oct. 24-Dec. 15, 2018.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 51st consecutive day, falling three-tenths of a cent to $3.551, its lowest amount since Aug. 29.

It has dropped 53.7 cents during the streak, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. The Orange County average price is 3.1 cents less than one week ago and 28.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 16.8 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County streak of decreases is the longest since a 75-day streak from Oct. 9-Dec. 22, 2012.
